This is the time of year when everyone starts focusing on the things that matter.....family, time together, gathering around the table, spending time in service to others....we all have so much to be grateful for.
As many of you know, we educate our children at home. Long back story here...but just know that I wouldn't take anything in the world for being there when all 3 of my kids "got it" and started to read on their own - so grateful for that memory. We spend a lot of time outdoors around our house and so enjoy seeing and learning all about the wildlife. Here's a shot of a baby salamander that we found:

Another thing that I'm so thankful for is getting to see how their minds and bodies grow each day. Speaking of, my oldest will be TWELVE this Saturday - when the heck did that happen?! Here he is back at age 5 having completed his first full year of homeschooling...time flies.....

Speaking of thankful.....we are fixin' (yes, that is an acceptable verb in the South) to get our Christmas on! I love this time of year - the lights, the smells, the music, the time to reflect on the greatest gift of all, Jesus.
